Clonk #2

Clonk #2
Originally uploaded by jacquichris.
As Mom can't do anything in half-measures, she decided this morning to go on walkabout and cracked the right side of her head as she fell from the bed. She is currently pending CT to make sure there is no intracranial (inside skull) bleeding to go with the external goose-egg.

As a result, tonight Mom will begin the dance of seven veils, okay one Vail bed. This is basically a human Sherpa bag that is attached to the bed to keep her from trouble without all the unpleasantness and injury of extensive restraints. It should be just quite fabulous.

An aside while I am thinking about it- Mom has finally started making a list of people she wants to see. It is a curious list with her wanting people I wouldn't have imagined and not wanting people I would have thought she would really want to see. But it is her list, not mine. People on that list will be hearing from us in the next day or so- everyone else remember this is about her healing in the way she needs.

Hey Pam! Cut that out. Try not to scare us all too much. Hope all goes well with the CT scan, I'm sure it will. Is that Jacqui's Tiara your wearing? Looks good on you.
To all of you on or off the visitation list, just remember head injuries are a funny thing. Don't be upset if you're not on the list yet. Jacqui, we miss you take care of yourself and keep us posted.
Hugs to all,
Dave and Nancy

As scary as the initial report of Cronk #2 is, I have to admit that I laughed a little at the picture. That little giggle-smile of hers is reminiscent of someone laughingly retelling the tale of their Saturday night college drunken stupor (and the resultant goose-egg)! Ah well, they say laughter is the best medicine and I'm so glad that she has such a healthy dose of it every day (LOVE the tiara, very becoming). Good to see her smile and I hope that hugs, kisses, and smiles find their way to the rest of Team Schneller!

Take care, and tell Roland we missed him at VCC choir practice tonight!
