Jacqui! Thank you SO much for posting these pictures!! It is so wonderful to see your mom's smiling face again- I miss it SO much!! Tonight we had a school chorus concert at a local church in town, and as we sang our closing benediction song, I thought of her and got teary-eyed... I wish that she could hear this song!! It is full of so much hope that I want to share with her. She has probably sung it or heard it before, but here is the text to comfort her: "Go Ye Now in Peace" Go ye now in peace and know that the love of God will guide you. Feel his presence here beside you showing you the way! In your time of trouble when hurt and despair are there to grieve you... KNOW THAT THE LORD WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU He will bring you COURAGE!!! Know that the God who sent His Son to die that you might live will never leave you lost and alone in his beloved world. Go ye now in peace.
We'll have our second rehearsal tomorrow night since she's been away... We have a longing more than ever now to work hard on "Carmina" and "St. Matthew's Passion" because we know she would want us to work hard and do our very best if she were there. How much longer will she be in the hospital in LA? Is there any way she will be stable enough to fly her to a hospital in Nashville any time in the near future (or ever?) How wonderful it would be if only she could be there to hear us sing!! My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you- and tell David Childs I am singing "Weep No More" in my head these days!! All my love, Charlotte
What an amazing picture! Kelly called today and told me how much better Pam was doing. I think that we're all beginning to see the progress that we only dared hope was there.
Thank you, Jacqui, for being so strong for your mother and for watching over her care. You've done a wonderful job of thinking about all the little things that make such a difference in the outcome and in her comfort.
On Valentine's Eve I wish you all lots of love. Please tell Pam Happy Valentine's Day for me.
