New Game

Hey, everybody!

We have started a new game. This one is called 'Map.' Map is one of our family's favorite games while on outings. You all know this one- it is where you keep a list of all the states that you see license plates for.

The twist on the game is that we have bought a map of the US and are putting stickers on all the states that have people in them praying for Mom.

SO- what we need is for someone from each state or who has family in a state to post HERE and let us know your state. We are suspicious that we will be able to fill the map. Help us try-

with love from the 'Shellener Team'-

jacqui

ps. we are taking countries too!

What a great idea! Well, I think its safe to say that we have Middle Tennessee covered! I also have friends and family in Missouri, Ohio, and South Dakota praying for her. I think that's pretty good...4 states from 1 person's efforts. If everyone chips in, we should get to 50 states quickly!

Am very glad to hear about Pam's continued progress and just love love love your upbeat and positive posts! I am a firm believer that positive thoughts attract positive results...keep 'em comin' folks!

I also just heard from a VCC alumna, Joy Holly, in Baltimore, Maryland, who I won't mind my quoting her here:

"I'm so very sorry that something so awful has
happened to Pam who is one of the most vibrant and
joyful people I have ever met. I guess one upside is
her fighting spirit will only stand her in good stead.
I have faith that if anyone could pull through a
trauma like that, it would be Pam!

Pam and Roland and family will definitely be in my
thoughts and prayers, as well as the VCC members,
since I know this is a blow to all of you who love Pam
and the VCC so much.

Dear Pam:

I want you to know that you are in all of my prayers and I wish you a speedy recovery. You are such a special person. I remember the first day of Blair Children's Chorus 17 years ago and how you opened my eyes to music, that I knew from then on that it would play such an important role in my life. You are a friend, my mentor, and like a family member to me. Who else would I have been able to call every time my mom threatened me by telling me I would have to quit the BCC if my grades weren't better (inside joke)!!! I will never be able to repay you for all that you have taught me and the opportunities that you have given me. You, Mr. Schneller, and your family are in my prayers. Please, get well soon!

Hi Jacqui,
Thanks for making this website.
Our love, thoughts, and prayers are with Pam and your family.
I'm writing on behalf of some global VUCC alumni (Class '04). Mary Beth Hettinger and I are in London; Jonathan Sawyer is in Germany; and Jim Fisher is in China.
So you might want to get a globe instead of a US map because praying for Pam is international :)
We are very relieved to read that Pam is making progress day by day. When I return to Vanderbilt for Homecoming this year, I eagerly look forward to seeing Pam back in her energetic, coffee-loving mood while singing the Alma Mater. Pam had a tremendous impact on all of us in college. My friends and I await reading news of Pam's continued recovery. My classmates and I will be certain to pay a loving visit to the nursing staff at USC when our program tranfers to LA in August.

VUCC love and prayers from around the world,
--Gerard Raiti

It is wonderful to hear the daily reports on Pam's progress. Thank you so much for keeping all of us updated. I count my membership in the VCC as one of the true joys of my life.

tonight was the ash wednesday service at first pres. although it's usually a hard service to make it through emotionally every year, tonight was especially hard. i sang with the adults tonight, and we sang "a prayer for humility". the closing hymn was "abide with me", and doug murray played variations on it for the closing voluntary. usually a lot of the adults leave during the closing voluntary, but everyone stayed tonight... it was a very quiet, somber service, and i wasn't the only one who cried for your mom, jacqui. there were others who did too, and the congregation prayed for her tonight after the dinner anouncements. she is in the thoughts and prayers of everyone who knows her at first pres... she and mr. schneller still remain a vital piece of our church, and always will be loved and welcomed there.

love and prayers from me and the people at first pres-
