Okay- we have to head to the airport any second so just two quick things...

1. Mom is able to open her eyes much wider. While Roland was with her and talking to her, she opened her eyes really wide and looked at him. He was very happy and said something like, "Oh, are you waking up now?" and Mom shook her head from side to side. Yeah. We all know about those bad hangovers. I wouldn't wake up either...

2. We have a little change in our route home from the hospital to Chinatown (remind me to tell you all about spending the Chinese New Year in Chinatown later...) and now go down Bail Bond Boulevard (David's contribution) instead of going past the Burger King. It is a real delight.

Well, we have to head off this second so I will sign off but many updates later. Still have shopping to go and another visit with Mom before I can write again. It is amazing how fast one goes through socks...

Love you all-

Dear Pam, Roland and family:
My heart skipped a beat when I heard the news from Barry this afternoon. It has been more than a year since I had the pleasure of being led by Pam in the VCC. Pam's infectious enthusiasm infused the chorus and its output with joy, exhultation and beauty. Pam, please know that you have touched many lives, including my own, through your tireless effort to bring the written note to life. If ever an ICU could be filled with joy and hope, it is yours. May God richly bless you and your family in this time of trouble and may you gain courage and hope from Him. You, Roland and your family are steadfastly in my prayers and in the prayers of my family.
Praying for continued hope and peace,
Byron Lindberg

We are all thinking of you and praying for every moment to be step forward in Pam's recovery. We are so glad to be able to get these updates on her progress and thank everyone involved.

We are also so glad that Pam is surrounded by all her loved ones -- and are so grateful to God for the quality of Pam and Roland's marriage. Please take care of yourself too, Roland.

All of us at First Presbyterian love you.

You all are in my prayers. I'm very glad to hear of the steady improvements of Mrs. Schneller's condition. She's a very strong person. Thank you all for keeping us updated.
